WCC Gameplay review and System requirements
The World Cricket Championship (WCC) is a series of 3D cricket mobile games developed by Nextwave Multimedia. The World Cricket Championship is the first game of the WCC cricket franchise, which was launched and released in 2011. The game was a huge success with more than a million downloads. So naturally updated versions of the game like World Cricket Championship 2 and World Cricket Championship Rivals were later released by Nextwave Multimedia.
WCC2 was officially released in 2015 and is a sequel to the World Cricket Championship. The game has been rated amongst the top 10 games among monthly active users for 3 successive years, ranging from 2016 to 2018 since its launch. WCC Rivals was launched in 2019 as the third game in the WCC cricket franchise after WCC and WCC2. It is the first fully-featured real-time multiplayer cricket game on mobile.
The latest update to the WCC cricket franchise is World Cricket Championship 3, which promises to be bigger and better than the previous versions. The game was officially launched in September 2020. Various new features like Career mode, improvements in AI and presentation have been made to make the game look as realistic as possible on mobiles.
The World Cricket Championship 3 has an all-new career mode that will enable users to advance their cricketing journeys from domestic games to international matches. You can build and manage your own ultimate team as a cricket team captain, manager, player, and coach.
All three departments of the game – batting, bowling and fielding – simulations have been upgraded with intuitive and fluid controls. In WCC3, players can score runs of 360 degrees around the ground as new batting shots have been added to improve the gaming experience. Players can create and customize their own players, including renaming players, customizing players’ faces, jersey numbers, etc.
The game includes professional commentary from various former cricketers in six languages, with Matthew Hayden and Isa Guha doing it in English. The DRS system, which includes Ultra Edge and Hawkeye technology, adds another layer of realism to the game. The World Cricket Championship 3 provides three options to customize Graphics settings, including low, medium and high, with low being the best option if you want the gameplay to be smooth.
Every game has some disadvantages and WCC3 is no different. Users have voiced their frustration over the fact that the game is too reliant on in-game purchases, with some people going as far as saying that the game is a pay-to-win game. Users complained about too many in-game ads and some faced issues while starting the game.
One of the main competitors to the World Cricket Championship series is the Sachin Saga Cricket Champions, which is a 3D Mobile Cricket Game with high-end graphics & realistic motion-captured animations where you play as Sachin Tendulkar and relive some of the most famous moments in cricket history.
Although the Sachin Saga Cricket Champions has the advantage of acquiring the naming rights to Sachin, the World Cricket Championship series looks like a better all-around package, with its immersive gameplay and graphics.
