India is known for producing world-class players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Kapil Dev, and the list goes on. The reason for producing these world-class players lies in the domestic system of India. India has a lot of cricket associations that represent their respective states in domestic tournaments. Each association has a cricket team and a headquarters that serves as the home ground for their cricket team. To know which is the best cricket association in India, we have created a list of the best Cricket Associations in India which is given below:

Mumbai Cricket Association 

Mumbai Cricket Association is known as the best Cricket Association in India and it was formerly called Bombay Cricket Association. The MCA was founded in the year 1930. Mumbai Cricket Association is the governing body for cricket in Mumbai City and its nearby regions like Thane, Kharghar, and Navi Mumbai. MCA is also a permanent member of BCCI. Mumbai Cricket Association is one the most dominant associations in the Ranji Trophy and has won 41 trophies so far it also finished as runners-up in five seasons. It also owns the world record for winning the Ranji Trophy 15 years in a row. The headquarters of this association is the famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Gujrat Cricket Association

The Gujrat Cricket Association is the governing body for cricket activities in Gujrat state and it is one of the best cricket associations in India. GCA is located in Motera, Ahmadabad of Gujrat state. The huge Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium(formerly known as Motera Cricket Stadium) is used as the headquarters of GCA. The Narendra Modi Stadium is also the biggest ground in the world. It was established in the year 1934 and it is affiliated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It has 10 districts and a union territory under its wings. The GCA has not a great record in Ranji Trophy but this association has produced a lot of great players for India.

Rajasthan Cricket Association 

The Rajasthan Cricket Association is also one of the top cricket associations in the country. The home ground for this association is the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The RCA runs the Rajasthan Cricket Team which represents the Rajasthan state in the Ranji Trophy. The Rajasthan Cricket Team has won the Ranji Trophy in the seasons of 2010–11 and 2011-12 and has finished as runners-up eight times between 1960–61 and 1973-74 seasons. Having won 2 Ranji Trophies, Rajasthan Cricket Team is currently in the Ranji Trophy Elite group. The Rajasthan association was established in the year 1956. 

Delhi and District Cricket Association 

The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) is one of the oldest cricket associations in India as it was founded in the year 1883. The DDCA is affiliated with the BCCI and is the governing body for Cricket activities in the Delhi state and the Delhi cricket team. The Delhi cricket team is the team that represents Delhi & District Cricket Association in the domestic tournament Ranji Trophy. The Delhi & District Cricket Association also participates in many abroad tournaments and also plays with their second name DDCA President’s XI. They have won 7 Ranji Trophies and remained runners-up on 8 occasions. 

Hyderabad Cricket Association 

The Hyderabad Cricket Association was founded in the year 1934 and it owns the Hyderabad Cricket Team that represents Hyderabad state. The home ground of this association is the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad which has a capacity of almost 55,000 people. 

The Hyderabad cricket team is a part of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group and has been seen as one of the best teams in the Ranji Trophy circuit. The Hyderabad team has won the Ranji Trophy twice while ending runners-up thrice in the history of the tournament. 

Cricket Association of Bengal

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is another famous association on the list of Best Cricket Associations in India. The CAB is governing body for cricket in the West Bengal state. The headquarters for this association is situated in Fort William and Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. CAB also organizes various cricketing events in the West Bengal state for the youngsters to showcase their talent. The current president of BCCI and former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly remained the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal from 2015 to 2019. It was founded in 1928 and is also a member of BCCI. 

Baroda Cricket Association

Baroda Cricket Association was founded in the year 1937 and it is the governing body for cricket in Baroda which is a region in the Gujarat state of India it runs the Baroda cricket team. The Baroda Cricket Association is affiliated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is located in Vadodara and The Moti Bagh Stadium in Vadodara is the headquarters of the Baroda Cricket Association which is also the home ground of the Bihar Cricket Team. The Bihar Cricket Team is also one of the successful domestic sides in India having won 5 Ranji and 2 Syed Mushtaq Ali trophies. Bihar Cricket Team is amongst the 3 teams that represent Gujrat state in the Ranji Trophy, the other two are the Saurashtra and Gujrat Cricket teams. 

Bihar Cricket Association 

The Bihar Cricket Association was founded in 1935 and it is the governing body for cricket in the Indian state of Bihar. It runs the Bihar Cricket Team which represents Bihar in the Ranji Trophy. It was affiliated with BCCI in 2008 and it is now a full member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The BCA is located in Patna. Bihar played in Ranji Trophy from 1936 to 2004 and after a big gap of almost 15 years, the Bihar Cricket team is playing in the 2018-19 season of the Ranji Trophy. The home ground of the Bihar association are Nalanda International Cricket Stadium, Rajgir, and Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna but the Bihar Cricket Team has never been able to win a Ranji Trophy.
